Rourkela: Five departments of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were felicitated by PK Dash, ED (Works) for their achievements.
The RSP was facing problems related to low and uncontrollable BF Gas pressure to Battery-6.
A team comprising employees from these five departments took up the matter and with their collective intervention, highest ever blast furnace gas yield was achieved. Besides, the power generation from PBS increased and the low and uncontrollable blast furnace gas pressure was minimized.
The departments are Blast Furnace, Coke Ovens & Coal Chemicals Department, Energy Management Department, Instrumentation and Power (Captive Power Plant-1 & PBS).
