Rourkela: A day after two bodies were recovered by police, ODRAF and fire officials, that of another person was retrieved from a tunnel of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on Saturday afternoon.
On June 3, five youths hailing from Sitalapada slum had gone missing in the tunnel (Outfall-9) of the plant while allegedly trying to steal steel material of the plant. The matter, however, came to the fore only after family members of one of the victims lodged a complaint in this regard at Uditnagar police station on June 8.
On June 9, the first body was recovered from inside the tunnel after an eight-hour-long effort.
The identity of the deceased, whose body was recovered this afternoon, is yet to be ascertained. Search and rescue operations are underway to locate the remaining one, official sources said.
