New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), accusing the right-wing organisation is controlling every institution in the country.
“The RSS is placing its own people in every institution and is running everything,” said the Congress leader who is on his first visit of Ladakh since Jammu & Kashmir was divided into two Union Territories.
“Even if you ask any of the ministers in the Union government, they will tell you they are actually not running their ministries. Those deputed by the RSS are actually running these ministries and are suggesting everything,” Rahul alleged.
Rahul, who engaged with the youth at an event in Leh on Friday, spoke his mind on how the RSS is abusing the Constitution of India.
“India got freedom in 1947 and consolidation of freedom in India is the constitution. The Constitution is a set of rules. The way you put the Constitution into action is by setting up institutions that support the vision of the Constitution. What the BJP and RSS are doing is placing their own people in key positions of institutional structure,” Rahul said.
Bike Ride To Pangong Lake
On Saturday, Rahul rode a bike to Pangong Lake in Ladakh, where he will be celebrating his father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s birthday on August 20.
Rahul shared pictures of his ride through the picturesque landscape of Ladakh on his official Instagram handle.
“On our way to Pangong lake, which my father used to say, is one of the most beautiful places in the world,” the caption read.
