Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday revised the price of RT-PCR COVID-19 test at ICMR approved private laboratories in the city to Rs 1,200.
On July 3, the government had capped the rate of such tests at Rs 2,200. The private laboratories were earlier charging Rs 4,000 to Rs 4,500.
In a notification, the Health Department identified these four laboratories for individuals desirous to undergo COVID-19 test.
“The tests will be conducted by these private laboratories under the supervision of RMRC, Bhubaneswar, by following ICMR guideline regarding the testing protocol for RT-PCR COVID-19 tests,” it added.
