Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday announced that the State Academic Authority (SAA) will approve the syllabus and textbooks to be used in Class I to VIII of the schools.
In an official order, the Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT stated that the curriculum, syllabus, testbooks and supplementary materials to be used in Class I to VIII developed by different departments, directorate and agencies will be approved by SAA for their implementation in the state.
Earlier, the government had declared the Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT as State Academic Authority to lay down the curriculum and evaluation procedure for elementary education under Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.
