Puri: Even as Jagannath temple in Puri remains out of bounds for the devotees to offer prayer, there was heavy rush outside the temple for the Mahaprasad on Friday.
With the lockdown 4.0 in force, the devotees are prohibited from going inside the temple either to have darshan or offer prayer. It has not deterred them from going to the temple and doing puja outside the Meghanad wall.
The daily rituals are performed inside the temple with prasad being offered to the deities.
Today being an auspicious day for the devotees, particularly women who perform Sabitri Puja, a large number of them were found congregated outside the temple gates to take the prasad. As having prasad is banned inside the temple, they took it home to have after the Sabitri Ouja.
