Fire Safety Drills Begin At 3 COVID Hospitals In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: A day after a fire broke out at Sadguru COVID Hospital in Cuttack, mock drills began at three COVID hospitals in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

According to reports, the mock drills are underway at SUM COVID Hospital, KIMS COVID Hospital and Aditya Ashwini Hospital.

As part of the mock drills, Fire Service personnel imparted training to hospital employees on the standard operating procedures in case of a blaze and the safety methods to stop its spread.

Apart from the demonstration, they also inspected the fire safety measures at the hospitals.

On Monday, the Central Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Anil Kumar Samal, said that necessary steps will be taken to ensure that such an incident does not recur in any other hospital in Odisha.
