Bhubaneswar: Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in the Odisha capital in the past few weeks, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued special guidelines for Good Friday.
Additional stipulations on celebrations:
1. Any kind of congregations for the celebration of Good Friday in public is not allowed within the BMC area.
2. However, rituals in churches will be allowed with a maximum of 50 participants.
3. Person having SARI/ILI Like symptoms will not be allowed inside the church.
4. Persons above the age of 65, those with comorbidities and children below 10 years of age are advised not to attend such celebrations.
Bhubaneswar recorded 52 fresh cases on Thursday.
