SAFF U-20 Meet: India Bounce Back To Win 4-0 At Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar: The Indian boys bounced back from their opening loss in the SAFF U-20 Championship with a comprehensive win at Kalinga Stadium here on Friday evening.

Having unexpectedly gone down to Bangladesh 1-2 earlier this week, the Blue Tigers outplayed Sri Lanka 4-0 today.

Parthib Gogoi scored a brace, while Himanshu Jangra and Gurkirat Singh netted one each to set up the big victory for the home team.

India, who currently sit in third place in the 5-team standings, must beat current toppers Nepal and the Maldives in their upcoming fixtures if they hope to finish at No. 1.
