Bhubaneswar: SAI Angan ushered in a heartwarming initiative on December 7 with its first-ever Movie Night, blending joy for children with a moment of respite for parents.
Held at the vibrant SAI Angan campus from 5 pm to 8 pm, this new venture aims to strengthen family well-being by offering parents some much-deserved “me time” while their little ones enjoy an evening of fun and camaraderie.
Reflecting on the thought behind the initiative, Chairperson of SAI International Education Group Silpi Sahoo said, “At SAI, we recognise the importance of nurturing not only children’s development but also supporting parents in finding balance and moments of relaxation. Movie Night offers an enriching experience for our learners and a chance for parents to recharge. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents for their continued trust and cooperation.”
The evening was a resounding success, with learners of KG-II watching the timeless classic, Bambi, in a warm, cozy setting. The choice of this beloved tale emphasized empathy, friendship, and resilience—values that align seamlessly with SAI Angan’s educational ethos.
Throughout the evening, children enjoyed delicious snacks and sipped on hot chocolate as they bonded with friends, delving into a shared cinematic adventure.
The initiative isn’t just a night of entertainment; it’s carefully designed to foster independence, interpersonal growth, and emotional intelligence in young minds.
Watching a film in a group setting enables children to navigate emotions, share thoughts, and engage with meaningful narratives, all while strengthening their cognitive and creative skills.
Parents, too, celebrated the initiative’s thoughtful intent. A parent, who picked up her delighted child post-event, shared, “This was such a refreshing idea! Knowing my child was safe and happy allowed me to enjoy an evening to myself, guilt-free.
“It’s rare to find events like this where both parents and children benefit equally. My daughter loved the movie and made new friends—it was perfect!”
As SAI Angan continues to innovate with such initiatives, the Movie Night promises to become a cherished tradition, fostering joy and growth for children while reinforcing the school’s commitment to family wellness.
