Saif’s Attacker Was Very Aggressive, But Didn’t Touch Valuables: Kareena To Cops

Mumbai: In the aftermath of the attack on Saif Ali Khan, his wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan recorded her statement with police and provided details about the incident.

According to reports, Kareena claimed that the intruder was highly aggressive. She also mentioned that the intruder got engaged in a violent scuffle with Saif and stabbed the actor multiple times, The Indian Express reported. Kareena revealed that the perpetrator didn’t take valuable jewellery which was out in the open. The family members other than Saif, who were present in the house at the time of the break-in, managed to move to the 12th floor of their duplex apartment.

Cops have stepped up security at both the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra, where Saif resides, and also the Karisma Kapoor’s Khar residence.

No trace of the suspect, ‘may have changed clothes’

It has been over 48 hours since the actor was attacked, but the suspect continues to elude Mumbai police. Cops doubt he could be a “hardened criminal” and appeared to have changed his clothes to mislead investigators after he fled the scene of crime.

On Friday, a massive manhunt was launched to trace the suspect. Earlier, Bandra police had detained a “suspect” and released him after five hours of grilling. Police sources said the man was picked up as he resembled the accused who was caught on CCTV at Saif’s building, reported The Indian Express.

Police also questioned a carpenter who worked at Saif’s building recently, besides some other workers.

New visuals of the suspect found

New visuals of the man who stabbed actor Saif during a burglary attempt at his home in the early hours of Thursday have surfaced. One of the images show him in a yellow shirt, reported the NDTV. But this image was not clear as it was taken before or after the incident. He was again captured on CCTV buying a headphone from a store in Dadar about six hours after the attack. incident.

Later in the day, he was spotted at Bandra railway station wearing a different shirt, blue in colour. He was seen wearing the same shirt at the mobile store. The intruder may had taken a train from the Bandra station, cops suspect.
