Saira Banu Needs An Angiography, Says Family Friend, ‘Is Missing Dilip Saab’

Mumbai: Veteran actress Saira Banu who was hospitalised after she complained of chest congestion a couple of days ago at Hinduja Hospital here has been advised to go through an angiography. Her family friend Faisal Farooqui said that she has been quite heartbroken after her husband and veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s death.

The ‘Padosan’ actress was shifted to the ICU on Wednesday.

Giving her health update, Faisal Farooqui told Aaktak, “Doctors have advised Saira Banu for angiography. According to that, her medicines will be prescribed. It’s not a serious issue. Doctors are saying that she might be discharged soon. They can start the procedure for angiography later too.”

He said, “She is quite broken since the departure of Dilip Sahab. She is a woman who has lived every moment in the last 55 years with him. You and I can only feel this pain. But there has been a vacuum in her life. It may be that his sorrow and the stress is bothering her.”

“Her morning used to start with Dilip Sahab and she used to pass the night taking care of him. This is not happening from today. She has been doing this for 55 years. She even gave up her career for him.” Faisal Farooqui revealed that Saira Banu has been suffering through sleeplessness.

Shah Rukh Khan and Dharmendra have been in constant touch with Saira Banu. They often text and get her health update.
