Salman Khan Applies For Weapon Licence After Death Threat

Mumbai: After the recent death threat, actor Salman Khan has applied for a weapon license for self-protection, news agency ANI reported on Friday quoting Mumbai Police.

According to a PTI report,  the actor met Mumbai Commissioner of Police, Vivek Phansalkar at the latter’s office in south Mumbai and Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vishwas Nangre Patil at the Mumbai police headquarters.  Officials, however, said that it was a courtesy visit and had nothing to do with any case.

Last month, Salman and his father Salim Khan received a letter with the message “tumhara Moose Wala kar denge (you will end up like Moose Wala). The letter was found at Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand promenade on June 5. Following this, the actor’s security was tightened.

Notably, Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in May this year.
