New Delhi: Surrounded by heavy security, Bollywood actor Salman Khan arrived on the set of the TV reality show Bigg Boss 18 late on Thursday night. The 58-year-old actor stayed at his designated chalet within the compound, ensuring his safety ahead of the scheduled shoot today, Friday, according to a source close to India Today Digital.

Filming is set to proceed as planned, with Salman Khan’s team coordinating closely with production and the channel to facilitate his movements amidst heightened security. The source shared that the actor will be shooting with more than 60 security personnel present on set, and strict measures have been implemented to safeguard the area. No outsiders are permitted to enter the compound without proper Aadhar card verification.

Additionally, the Bigg Boss 18 crew has been instructed to remain on-site until the shoot concludes, which will feature two Weekend Ka Vaar episodes scheduled to air this weekend, the report added.

Notably, an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has sent a threat message to Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding Rs 5 crore from Salman to settle a long-standing feud with the gangster. The message warned that if Salman failed to pay, his fate would be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently shot dead. Baba Siddique was killed a day after Salman Khan shot the last weekend episode of Bigg Boss on Friday, October 11.

Salman Khan has been provided Y-plus security after Baba Siddique’s murder and a police escort vehicle now travels alongside his vehicle, with a constable trained to use all weapons accompanying him.
