Salman Khan Receives Death Threat Yet Again – Fifth In The Last Two Years

Mumbai: Bollywood star Salman Khan has received a death threat yet again. According to a WhatsApp message received by the Mumbai Traffic Police Helpline, somebody has threatened to enter his house and kill him. The sender of the message has also threatened to blow up the superstar’s car. A complaint has been registered and the police have started an investigation.

While the rich and famous are known to receive death threats across the world, the police will take no chance in the case of Salman, who is caught in the crosshairs of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. In April 2024, two bike-borne men fired at the actor’s residence in Bandra.

After former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead in October 2024, rumours made the rounds that the Bishnoi gang had targeted him because of his links to Salman. This was never established though. According to the police, Salman, who lives with his family at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai, has received five such threats (including the latest one) in the last two years.

“Over the last two years, Salman and members of his family, including his father Salim Khan, have received numerous death threats. Last year, the Mumbai Police also uncovered a plot to assassinate the actor at his Panvel farmhouse. Shooters from the Bishnoi Gang were allegedly stalking the actor and planning to kill him after his arrival at the farmhouse,” an official said.

Bishnoi has pledged to eliminate Salman for killing blackbucks in Rajasthan in the 90s. Blackbucks are sacred to the Bishnoi community. Though the court dismissed the case against Salman, the gangster – who is behind the bars himself – has made it clear that the actor will die unless he visits a certain temple in Rajasthan and apologises for killing the animals.
