Mumbai: Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment balcony has been the focus of his fans for several years as they can catch a glimpse of the Bollywood superstar from time to time, waving at them.
However, after recent death threats and firing outside the actor’s apartment, apparently by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the iconic balcony got renovated and covered with a bulletproof glass earlier this year.
The general understanding was that the balcony got the bulletproof covering because of security reasons, However, Salman recently clarified that it was because of people sneaking into his house through the balcony.
Salman revealed during a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble that he got his balcony covered because people would climb up to meet him.
“I would find them sleeping there,” the actor said, adding that he got the glass for the safety of his family.
In April 2024, gunshots were fired outside Galaxy Apartment in Bandra.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol claimed responsibility for the shooting via a Facebook post.
Following the shooting incident, Mumbai Traffic Police received a message from the gang, demanding Rs 5 crore for Salman’s safety.
In the wake of these threats, Salman was provided with Y+ security cover and the security outside his house was also beefed up.
In October 2024, the actor imported a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV worth Rs 2 crore from Dubai.
