Salman Khan Says He Can’t Act, People Laugh When He Cries On Screen

Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan humbly said at the Red Sea Film Festival 2025 in Jeddah that he can do anything, but act.

Salman clarified his comment by saying that when he cries during emotional scenes in films, he feels that people make fun of his acting skills.

“Acting has also left this generation. Toh mujhe nahi lagta ki main koi bahut hi kamaal ka actor hoon (Acting seems to have left this generation as well. So I don’t think I am a great actor). You can catch me doing anything, but you can’t catch me acting. Voh hoti hi nahi mujhse (I can’t do it). Jaisa feel hota hai, vaise karta hoon. Bas yahi hai (I simply do whatever I feel like doing at the moment. That’s all),” Salman opined on his acting skills.

When the host asked the audience if Salman was right, they dismissed the superstar’s claim.

When a smiling Salman further quipped, “Kabhi-kabhi jab main rota hoon, mujhe lagta hai aap log mujh par hans dete ho (Sometimes when I cry, I know you guys laugh at me),” fans said unanimously, “No, we cry with you.”

As the video went viral on social media, fans gushed over the superstar’s down-to-earth nature.

“You are the best actor,” commented one fan.

Another posted, “I swear, when he cries, you just cry with him.”

One user expressed, “You are the only actor who can make us cry so hard with you,” while someone said, “You are perfect just the way you are.”

On the work front, Salman was last seen in ‘Sikandar’ along with Rashmika Mandanna. The film turned out to be a dud at the box office, with critics blaming a poor script.

Salman will next be seen in Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Battle of Galwan’, based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The film is expected to hit theatres in 2026.
