Salman Khan Shot ‘Sikandar’ With Painful Rib Injury, Cycled To Sets But Never Complained

Mumbai: Salman Khan’s co-star Vikaas Verma revealed in a recent interview that the Bollywood superstar shot for ‘Sikandar’ while battling a painful rib injury and even cycled to the sets.

“I noticed it early on — he had a rib injury. I’d see him constantly adjusting himself on set. I could feel the pain just watching him. He also had a shoulder issue, so there would always be someone massaging his shoulder, or he’d do it himself. His physiotherapy was non-stop, but you’d never hear him complain,” Vikaas told Bollywood Bubble.

Vikaas continued, “He would cycle to the set, cycle back, work out at the gym, and still be on his feet all day. I honestly don’t even want to mention his age—because he doesn’t seem that old. He feels like he’s just 5–10 years older than me, that’s the energy he radiates. I can’t even jump on one foot the way he does, and he’s doing it all while injured.”

Expressing his admiration for Salman, Vikaas said, “After an injury like that, most of us would just stay home, call our moms, and not step out. But Salman? He shows up, every day. That’s the level of dedication that commands respect.”

Directed by AR Murugadoss, high-octane action drama ‘Sikandar’ also features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj in key roles.

Despite mixed reviews, the film minted ₹187.84 crore worldwide within just a week of its release.
