Mumbai: After the Bishnoi community president Devendra Bishnoi, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has urged Salman Khan to visit their temple and repent for hunting down a blackbuck.

The farmer leader, who is also the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), warned the Bollywood actor of the consequences if he doesn’t apologise to the Bishnoi community.

Labelling Lawrence Bishnoi as a ‘badman’, Tikait said that he can get the actor killed despite being in jail. So, to end this ongoing feud, Salman should apologise.

“Yeh samaj se juda hua mamla hai. Salman Khan ko mandir jaa kar maafi maang leni chahiye, nahi toh jail me band aadmi pata nahi kab tapakwa de (This issue is connected to society. Salman Khan should go to a temple and apologise; otherwise, you never know when the person in jail might act against him),” said Tikait as reported by Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with ABP live, Salman’s father Salim Khan firmly stated that the actor won’t be apologising to anyone for a crime he hasn’t committed.

He further stated that visiting the temple and apologising to the Bishnoi community would mean that Salman is guilty of poaching blackbuck; whereas his son has already confessed to him that he was not present in the car when the animal was hunted down.

On October 12, NCP leader and close friend of Salman Khan, Baba Siddique was shot dead by three contract killers outside son Zeeshan’s office.

Hours after the brutal murder, the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for it and threatened Salman and people helping him of meeting the same fate.

Following the threats, security around Salman has been beefed up.

The infamous Salman and Lawrence Bishnoi feud started after the actor was accused in the blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan in 1998. Blackbuck is considered as a scared animal by the Bishnoi community.
