Sam Billings Powers CSK To 5-Wicket Win Against KKR In Thriller

Chennai: Amid anti-IPL protests on the Cauvery issue, Sam Billings smashed 56 off 23 balls to beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by five wickets in a thriller in Chennai on April 10.

After being reduce to 89/5 at one stage, KKR was put back on gear with Russell hitting a four and 11 sixes to score 88 runs and post a challenging score of 202/6 in 20 overs.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were off to a fiery start right from the beginning. In the last over, the team needed 17 runs to win when Ravindra Jadeja hit a six of Vinay Kumar, with only four runs required.

Brief scores: Chennai Super Kings 205/5 in 19.5 overs (Sam Billings 56, Shane Watson 42; Tom Curran 2/39) beat Kolkata Knight Riders: 202/6 in 20 overs (Andre Russell 88, Robin Uthappa 20; Shane Watson 2/39)
