Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party leader Chhotelal Diwakar and his son, Sunil Diwaka, were shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
The twin murders are being attributed to an overlaying dispute over a road work under MGNREGS.
Sambhal SP Yamuna Prasad told the ANI that three police teams have been formed to nab the assailants.
Police have also detained some persons for interrogation and further investigation is on, he added.
