Sambalpur On Top Of COVID-19 Chart With 35 New Cases; 245 In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Sambalpur reported the highest of 35 new COVID-19 cases in Odisha as 245 positive cases were added to the state’s tally taking the total to 3,29,866 on Friday.

Of the new cases reported overnight from 24 districts, 139 are quarantine and 106 local contacts.

Sundargarh recorded the second highest of 34 cases followed by Angul (32), Khurda (19), Mayurbhanj (17), Cuttack (15), Jajpur (15), Bargarh (14), Balangir (9), Jharsuguda (9), Kendrapara (8), Bhadrak (6), Balasore (5), Nuapada (5), Jagatsinghpur (4), Kalahandi (3), Kandhamal (2), Nayagarh (2), Boudh (1), Deogarh (1), Dhenkanal (1), Keonjhar (1), Rayagada (1) and Sonepur (1).

The state pool has five cases.

At present, Odisha has 2,505 active cases and 3,25,432 patients have recovered.
