Sambalpur Railway Station was declared ‘No Plastic Zone’ from Wednesday. This is the second plastic-free station in the country after Tirupati Railway Station, East Coast Railway (ECoR) said in a statement.
Railway staff and officials,citizens and school students took a pledge to avoid single use plastic such as polythene bags and plastic bags.
Awareness campaigns against plastic usage were also held at the station.
