New Delhi: After being admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for COVID-19 in May end and discharged on June 8, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Monday went back to the hospital. This time for donating plasma, reported agencies.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has said that plasma has delivered positive results in COVID-19 treatment. The government has appealed to all those who have recovered from COVID-19 to come forward and donate their plasma. The convalescent plasma contains the antibodies produced in response to the infection.
