Foldable display is finally a reality. Samsung on Tuesday launched the Galaxy Fold phone in India. It has two displays – an outer 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a 7.3-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 4.2:3.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold is priced at Rs 164,999 in India.
Pre-booking for the smartphone starts on October 4 and it will go on sale starting October 20.
The new phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage, 2 batteries with combined capacity of 4,380mAh, and 6 cameras.
When the phone is folded, users can access the 10-MP selfie camera on the outside, and the triple rear camera (12-MP + 12-MP + 16-MP). When the phone is unfolded, there are two cameras inside, a 10-MP and 8-MP depth sensor.
The phone supports wireless charging.
