Hyderabad: Days after getting regular bail in the Sandhya theatre stampede case, ‘Pushpa 2’ actor Allu Arjun visited SriTeja, the injured minor who is undergoing treatment at the KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad.
The actor, who had earlier received a notice from Ramgopalpet Police warning him against meeting SriTeja, was seen at the hospital on Tuesday amid tight security.
Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman, Dil Raju was also present at the hospital when Allu met the victim’s family.
Soon, videos and pictures of the actor from the hospital premises went viral on social media platforms.
In the videos, the actor was seen entering the KIMS hospital premises sporting a green sweater and black pants, along with his team.
Anticipating that Allu’s hospital visit might lead to untoward incidents, Ramgopalpet Police warned the actor against going there without permission from the court. Police also advised Allu to keep his hospital visit confidential.
Police officers visited Allu’s Jubilee residence to deliver the notice to the actor personally, Sakshi Post reported.
On December 24, 2024, SriTeja showed positive signs of recovery for the first time after being unresponsive for 20 days.
“The child responded after 20 days. He is responding today. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government are supporting us,” said the child’s father Bhaskar.
Allu had expressed his intentions of meeting the child earlier but couldn’t do so because of the ongoing legal procedures.
The actor was arrested from his residence in connection with the stampede on December 13 which led to the death of SriTeja’s mother, but released on interim bail.
The actor’s visit to the Sandhya theatres in Hyderabad on December 4 made the crowd go berserk, leading to the stampede.
