Bhubaneswar: Sanghamitra Mishra, Professor and Head of Department of Critical Care Medicine, has been appointed as the new Dean of the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, faculty of medicine of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University here.
Accoridng to an official release, Mishra, who will join the new post on Wednesday, replaces Prof. (Dr.) Gangadhar Sahoo as head of the teaching hospital.
Sahoo, a renowned expert in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, had been Dean of the institute since 2016. He had joined IMS and SUM Hospital after serving government-run V.S.S. Medical College Hospital at Burla for a long period, the release added.
