Rourkela: Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has been undertaking massive cleaning and sanitisation drive in the steel township to contain COVID-19.
The Public Health Unit of the Town Engineering Department, Fire Services and Sports department officials are actively involved in the process, according to an RSP release.
As part of the drive, intensive monitoring is being done to ensure regular cleaning, sanitisation, garbage collection and disposal. Bins kept in strategic locations are emptied and solid wastes are cleared from the 10 Solid Waste Transfer Stations on a daily basis.
All the market places located in different sectors are sanitised on regular intervals keeping in mind large number of footfalls.
Special care is being taken to keep the Health Centres and Ispat General Hospital clean and sanitised for the benefit of the patients and the safety of the doctors, paramedical staff, patients and their attendants.
Apart from manual sanitiser spray machines, fire tenders are also being used for the sanitisation purpose. Care is also taken to provide basic amenities like water and electricity without interruption.
