Sara Ali Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput At Loggerheads With Filmmaker Abishek Kapoor

Mumbai: Sara Ali Khan, daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan and his former wife Amrita Singh, was to be launched with the film ‘Kedarnath’ by filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor. However, the makers of ‘Kedarnath’ have now dragged her to the court for having signed Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’.

The case is being heard in the Bombay High Court. On Tuesday, a case regarding all her important dates will also be argued.

In September 2017, Sara had signed an agreement to be the female lead in ‘Kedarnath’ opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and many scenes of the film has already been shot. The producer needed her dates in June and July this year to finish the work. The pending shoot is to be completed in Nepal.

“The film is already scheduled for November 30 release and it will be disrupted if the actor does not turn up,” said advocate Hitesh Jain, who is representing Abhishek Kapoor’s production house ‘Guy In The Sky Picture Pvt Ltd’.
Kedarnath Porducers alleged Sara’s agent said them that she will not have time beyond June as she will be busy with Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’. Hence, they dragged her to Bombay High Court to direct her to complete her initial commitment.
The case came up for hearing before Justice SJ Kathawala, on Friday morning, who asked both the parties to discuss the issue and get back later in the day. Sara’s advocate Naik and Naik said Sara has only eight free dates in June, which she could give to Kedarnath producers but they needed 15.
Things have also not been good between Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput, who have been reported to have had constant arguments over his character in Kedarnath. Abhishek Kapoor had directed him in ‘Kai Po Che’.
