Brahmapur: A day after being transferred from Brahmapur and posted as Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Sarabana Vivek M said on Wednesday that he would carry forward the same commitment to public service in his new assignment.
Emphasis will be on effective policing, law and order and people’s cooperation, the 2015-batch IPS officer said while speaking about his new responsibility.
Sarabana Vivek said he was happy to take charge as DCP, Bhubaneswar, and would continue to discharge his duties with dedication. He stressed that cooperation from the public is vital for effective policing and expressed his resolve to work in close coordination with citizens and police personnel.
Describing Brahmapur as his “karmabhumi,” Dr Vivek thanked the public, police personnel, media, advocates and various organisations for their support during his tenure as SP. The experience had enriched his understanding of policing and public service, he said.
His promotion and transfer to the important Bhubaneswar assignment have drawn greetings from police personnel, well-wishers and members of the public.
