Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odia fiction writer Paramita Satpathy has been selected for 42nd Sarala Puraskar for her novel “Abhipreta Kala”.
The novel was published in 2016 by Paschima Publications, Bhubaneswar. She will receive cash award of Rs 5 lakh along with a citation.
The traditionally given Bansidhar-Ila Panda Sangeet Samman & Chitrakala Samman will be declared soon.
The annual Sarala Puraskar instituted by eminent Odia industrialist Dr. Bansidhar and Ila Panda in 1980, has been continuously awarded by Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT).
