Bhubaneswar: Writer Sarat Kumar Dash’s fifth collection of poetry ‘Punarapi’ was unveiled at Rabindra Mandap here on Sunday.
Published by city-based PEN In Publication, the book has 51 poems written by Dash at different point of time. His poems narrate love and devotion, which are essential elements of human life. A music CD of 10 poems composed by music director Prem Anand was also released. Humane Sagar, Ananya Sritam Nanda, Biswajit, Ashutosh, Sabishesh and Diptirekha have lent voice to the songs.
His father Ananta Prasad Dash’s autobiography ‘Chhota Eka Jibana Kahani’ was also unveiled on the ocassion.
Among others, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Surya Narayan Patro, Chief Commissioner, Income Tax, Bidhu Sekhar Singh, eminent poetess Pratibha Satpathy, Culture Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi and BJP secretary Prithviraj Harichandan were present.
The unveiling of Dash’s earlier books ‘Asamapika’ and ‘Sabdasrota’ and ‘Chitralekha’ was also followed by release of music CDs. An approved lyricist of AIR, Cuttack, he is currently serving as Income Tax Commissioner in Bhubaneswar.
