Bhawanipatna: Police on Wednesday arrested a sarpanch on charges of raping a minor girl at Badachhatranga village in Thuamul Rampur block of Kalahandi district.
According to the complaint lodged by the Dalit minor girl, the accused developed a physical relationship with the victim by promising to marry her. He later refused to acknowledge their relationship.
