Sundargarh: A sarpanch and two watchmen posted at Subdega temporary medical camp (TMC) for migrants in Odisha’s Sundargarh have tested positive for COVID-19, informed Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan.
The district reported seven more corona cases in the last 24 hours. Besides these three local contacts, the other four are Maharashtra returnees lodged at the quarantine centre.
All seven of them have been shifted to Hi-Tech Medical College in Rourkela.
Following detection of these cases, the district administration has declared the TMC and village where it is situated as containment zones.
The collector further informed that one COVID patient had recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours.
The affected tally in Sundargarh has gone up to 118 with these fresh cases. So far, 57 patients have recovered from the infection in the district.
