Sarpanch’s Husband Found Dead In Odisha’s Dhenkanal; Murder Alleged

Dhenakanl: The husband of Baruan sarpanch was allegedly murdered by unknown miscreants in Jamujhara village under Tumusingha police limits of the district.

The deceased, identified as Deepak Mahunta, was also a samiti member.

According to reports, some locals found Deepak in a pool of blood in Jamujhara village on Saturday morning and rushed him to Denkhanal the headquarters hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The incident is suspected to have taken place late last night. Police investigation into the case is on to ascertain the motive behind behind the crime.

Meanwhile, Deepak’s family members have alleged murder over political reasons. His son Dibyadarshan alleged that his father has been murdered over political and business enmity.
