Bhubaneswar: The chief finance officer (CFO) of the Odisha Television Ltd (OTV) and the director of the Odisha Infratech Pvt Ltd (OIPL) Manoranjan Sarangi and power of attorney of Sarua land Siba Prasad Srichandan were sent to Jharpada jail after the end of their three-day remand on Thursday.
The EOW officials produced the duo in the court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) in the afternoon after the completion of their remand period. The court later remanded them to jail.
Sources said that the EOW during face-to-face interrogation of these two officials has collected vital information on the purchase of the land at Sarua village in Khurda district.
While the EOW has found the complicity of some revenue officials in the purchase of the land belonging to the Scheduled Caste community, some senior officials of OTV and OIPL are allegedly also involved in this shady deal.
