Bhubaneswar: The state government effected a minor reshuffle in IPS cadre on Wednesday and appointed Satish Gajbhiye as the new Superintendent of Police (SP), Computers.
According to a government notification, senior IPS officer Krushna Chandra Samal is the new Traffic DCP (Bhubaneswar) while Prashant Kumar Jena has been appointed SP, CID (Crime Branch).
Gajbhiye was suspended in August 2015 for police excesses during their demonstrations against self-proclaimed godman Santosh Raul alias Sarathi near Barimula Ashram during his tenure as Kendrapada SP. He was reinstated and posted at State Police Headquarters in Cuttack in June this year.
