Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed IAS officer Satyabrata Rout as secretary of state Legislative Assembly.
In a notification on Friday, the General Administration and Public Grievance Department mentioned the appointment of Rout.
A 2013 batch IAS officer, Rout was serving as Additional Secretary to the Works Department.
It may be noted that the Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly is scheduled to begin on February 13.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will present the state budget for 2025-26 financial year on February 17 in the Assembly.
