Bhubaneswar: After winning accolades in SaReGaMaPa Lil champs, Odisha’s singing sensation Satyajeet Jena made his debut in Bollywood by recording a song with pop queen Sunidhi Chouhan.
Sunidhi and Satyajeet recorded a song composed by singer-music director Shankar Mahadevan in presence of legendary lyricist Gulzar at Purple Haze Studio in Mumbai.
Satyajeet had made a shocking exit from the reality show due to throat problem despite being the highest voted contestant even in his last episode. Satyajeet’s father Guman Charan Jena, who runs an orchestra company, had announced during the show that his voice had undergone transformation and continuous pressure during performance could damage the vocal cord. He had even requested the jury members to eliminate him.
Satyajeet’s song ‘Mile Ho Tum Humko’, which he sang during the audition, went viral and garnered 4.2 million votes on YouTube worldwide.
Eminent singer-composer A R Rahman had offered him internship for a week at his studio after hearing him in one of the episodes.
