Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has shut down as many as 184 Chinese websites for aiming to capture the Saudi market with poor and adulterated goods and fake offers.
The said websites also didn’t offer consumers the chance of return and exchange and after-sales services and instead lured buyers with the quality of the offered products, reported Al Jazirah.
All these sites were blocked by the ministry that do not include the store’s data, address and contact numbers and customer service.
The general public was urged to deal with trusted stores, and not to respond to advertisements on social media for unknown products.
According to Saudi officials, 184 sites had been launched targeting more people at the same time as they were also blocked, reported news agency ANI.
Consumer products like electronics, perfumes, bags, clothes, shoes and cosmetics were sold via these online websites.
