Jajpur: Apprehending violation of social distancing guidelines during the Savitri Brata festival on Thursday, the Jajpur district administration has clamped Section-144 in and around some temples in the district.
According to a notice issued by the administration, Section-144 will be imposed in and around Maa Biraja Temple, Maa Mangala Temple at Jaunlibandha, Jagannath Temple, Sriram Temple at Mansapola and Barahanath Temple in Jajpur from midnight of June 9 to midnight of June 10.
However, Sevayats will be allowed to perform daily rituals at the temples as per custom and tradition.
