Paralakhemundi: The main branch office of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Paralakhemundi and another branch in the market area of Gajapati district were sealed on Thursday after the manager of the main branch tested positive for COVID-19
Briefing the mediapersons here, Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha said the SBI main branch manager was staying in Bhubaneswar after he fell ill some days ago. During his stay in Bhubaneswar, he underwent COVID test and the report was positive.
As the SBI manager used to visit both the branches in Paralakhemundi, both offices have been sealed to prevent entry of the people. Efforts are on for complete sanitization of the two bank branches, he added.
The collector also informed that all the staff of the two SBI offices have been sent on home quarantine and asked to undergo COVID test.
