Bhubaneswar: Supreme Court advocate Anindita Pujari has been elected as vice-president of the Bar Association of India (BAI).
Anindita, who will hold the post for two years from 2023 to 2025, is the first Odia to elected to the prestigious post of the BAI. She has already served as general secretary (honorary) of the Bar Association twice earlier.
Belonging to Rourkela in Odisha’s Sundargarh district, she has been practising as an a Supreme Court advocate for the last 25 years. She has officiated as panel advocate of the Odisha government in several important legal cases for the last 8 years.
The results of the election to different posts of the BAI was declared on Saturday. Advocate Prashant Kumar has been elected as president of the Bar Association.
