Bhubaneswar: In a major relief to the liquor industry, the Supreme Court on Thursday gave its approval for reopening of liquor shops on National Highways (NHs) coming under municipality areas across Odisha.
Acting on the apex court’s order, the state excise secretary has sent a letter to the state excise commissioner for implementation of the same.
The Odisha government had earlier re-classified the NHs passing through corporation, municipality, sub-division, block and tehsil headquarters of the state.
