New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended transfer of Meghalaya High Court (HC) Chief Justice Mohammed Rafiq as Chief Justice (CJ) of Orissa High Court.
Justice Rafiq was sworn in CJ of Meghalaya HC in November last year.
Justice Sanju Panda is currently the Acting Chief Justice of Orissa HC.
Earlier, Justice Satyaranjan C Dharmadhikari, the most senior judge of the Bombay High Court, had resigned following his elevation as the CJ of the Orissa HC. He was reluctant to move to Odisha because of the short tenure.
