New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India on Thursday dismissed a PIL seeking CBI inquiry into actor Sushant Singh Rajput death.

The PIL was filed by petitioner Alka Priya.

Chief Justice of India Sharad Arvind Bobde, as quoted by TOI said, “Let the police do their job.”

“The Mumbai police is probing the matter. If you want you can go before the Bombay HC and seek appropriate relief,” said bench headed by CJI S A Bobde while rejecting the PIL.

According to the report, SC stated that petitioner Alka Priya had no locus standi in the case.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court lawyer Sarthak Nayak has filed a petition in Bombay High Court appealing to the Chief Justice to transfer Sushant’s case to SIT.

Nayak also stated that as the incident took place in Mumbai, the enquiry should be done here.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty with the Patna police, alleging that she exploited and cheated on his son, compelling him to take the drastic step.

Soon, Rhea hired the most expensive lawyer of Mumbai to apply for an anticipatory bail in the case.

The case is now being investigated by both Patna police and Mumbai police.
