New Delhi: In a major relief for actor Salman Khan, the Supreme Court on Monday stayed the proceedings in six cases against the actor, filed in different courts across the country.
The six cases were filed against the actor for allegedly demeaning the Valmiki Samaj. The next date of hearing on the case is April 23.
The complaint against Salman was filed by ex-chairman of the Delhi Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Harnam Singh, who had raised objections to the actor using the word ‘bhangi’ during TV shows while promoting his movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ at a reality show.
