Cuttack: With the expansion work of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack scheduled to begin in March, the district administration has decided to intensify the eviction drive in the periphery area from Wednesday.
Briefing mediapersons here on Tuesday, Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Central, Anil Kumar Samal said they have been directed by the state government to complete the eviction by February.
“Some temples and mosques in hospital periphery will be demolished while the slums, residential houses and government quarters will be taken up in a phased manner. Besides, 13 government quarters inside the hospital premises will also be demolished,” Samal added.
