SCB reports another swine flu death, toll rises to 33

Bhubaneswar: One more swine flu death was reported from SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Friday, taking the toll to 33 in the state this season. The deceased was a 60-year-old woman.
On the other hand, 12 of 29 swabs sent for examination tested positive for the H1N1 virus. These cases were reported from KIIMS (2), SUM Hospital (2), AIIMS (2), Apollo Hospital (2) and one each from SCB, Kar Clinic, Capital Hospital and AMRI Hospital. The patients in the age group of 19 to 78 years are natives of Khurda (7), Cuttack (2), Jagatsinghpur (1), Balasore (1) and Deogarh (1).
Of the 1007 samples tested so far, 341 have been found infected with the viral influenza, health department sources said.
