Cuttack: A second-year postgraduate student of the Dental Department in SCB Medical College and Hospital here on Monday levelled allegations of sexual harassment against three senior doctors of the institution.
In a written complaint at Mangalabag police station, the victim accused the department head, an associate professor and a senior resident doctor of the medical college of sexually harassing her.
She further alleged that they had threatened to ruin her career if she did not agree to their advances.
Basing on her complaint, police have registered a case under sections 354, 354 (A), 294 and 506 (A) of the IPC. “Appropriate action will be taken in connection with the incident after proper investigation,” said DCP Akhileswar Singh.
